Alexis Butterfield

Alexis will help you with scheduling and ensure any questionnaires used in your child's assessment are sent to all the right people. She is detail-minded, communicates promptly, and is the warm and friendly person on the other end of many of the emails you'll receive.

Originally from Texas, Alexis has called Colorado home since 2005. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado Mesa University and subsequently became a credentialed veterinary technician. Alexis worked in veterinary specialty hospitals on the Front Range for several years. She also taught as a veterinary instructor for seven years at Front Range Community College. During that time, she and her husband of thirteen years, Larry, welcomed three wonderful kids. Their children are now the main beneficiaries of Alexis' teaching skills, as she is a homeschool educator. Her increasing responsibilities at home led her to transition away from her work as a veterinary instructor.

Alexis is honored to be a part of Wendy’s team at Denver Learning Assessments. She enjoys working behind the scenes as an administrator and serving the Denver area families that Wendy sees.

In her (limited!) free time, Alexis enjoys reading, knitting, being outdoors, and traveling with her family.

Sadie Fulton

Sadie is a clinically astute, advanced doctoral extern known for making authentic connections with her clients. Under Wendy's supervision, she serves handpicked clients, providing thoughtful clinical assessments to address a variety of concerns. Wendy and Sadie work closely throughout each assessment process. They jointly meet with parents during the initial information and feedback sessions and collaborate on other aspects of the assessment, including planning sessions, reviewing and interpreting test data, and constructing each student's report.

Sadie is a third-year graduate student pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Professional Psychology. Psychology is actually a second career for Sadie. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she earned a Master of Science degree in economics from the Colorado School of Mines and worked as a data scientist and manager of software engineers. During her tenure as a data scientist, her colleagues selected her to receive an annual award honoring the individual who best exhibited a commitment to and effectiveness in practicing coaching as leadership. Although successful in her field, Sadie learned that her gifts and motivations were more deeply aligned with understanding and supporting people than with technology. Since her career transition, she has worked with students receiving inpatient treatment for mood disorders, as well as a range of clients in outpatient settings, including youth, adults, and couples seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and relationship troubles.

Born and raised in Denver, Sadie loves long walks in the park, coffee shops, spending time reading in her recliner, and relaxing with her family.
